Litha NkombisaExecutive: Sales and Marketing – Avis Fleet
Litha is currently Executive: Sales and Marketing at Avis Fleet. For 5 years, Litha successfully ran Barloworld Motor Retail, a business that formed an integral part of the Automotive Division. He has extensive experience in financial services and the motor industry. Litha is formerly Head, BEE Portfolio with Nedbank Corporate.
He is well respected in the financial field, and was voted top Corporate Banker in South Africa for 2002/3 by Association of Black Securities & Investment Professionals (ABSIP).
He also has intimate knowledge of the motor industry having spent time at BMW Finance in Munich, Germany, in their International Marketing and International Risk divisions. His other motor industry experience includes diverse roles as Risk Manager at BMW Finance, Dealer Development at General Motors and Dealer Principal of a BMW dealership. He obtained his qualifications from the Universities of the Witwatersrand and UNISA.
Tlhabi NtlhaHead: Value Stream Improvement – Barloworld Automotive & Logistics
Tlhabi Ntlha joined the Barloworld Group in 2012 as part of the Chartered Accountant Training Programme. During this time, she worked in various roles within the different divisions. After completing her articles, Tlhabi joined Avis Fleet in 2015 as a Financial Manager overseeing the Botswana and Namibia operations. She then moved into a Strategy Analyst role in 2016 before assuming the role of Executive: Strategy for Avis Fleet in 2017.
Some of the large projects that Tlhabi has been involved in, include the Barloworld Group transformational growth strategy which involved a review of all the existing businesses, as well as looking into growth opportunities for the Group. She was also active in co-designing and introducing a new Group operating model which will govern how issues and opportunities are prioritised and executed within the Group.
Thobeka NtshizaChief Financial Officer - Avis Fleet
Thobeka is the Chief Financial Officer of Avis Fleet. She joined Barloworld in February 2018 as Finance Director for Logistics: Supply Chain Management.
She is a Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years’ experience in such industries as manufacturing, FMCG and logistics, having worked for companies like Sasol and Coca-Cola. Thobeka specialises in financial management in complex organisations and has a distinct ability to simplify the complex – to break issues down and work through them systematically.
Thobeka holds various leadership qualifications in addition to her two post-graduate degrees in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2015, she was a finalist in the prestigious SAICA Top 35 under-35 CAs – an accolade that identified her as one of the best young chartered accountants in the country.
From 2013 to 2019, Thobeka served as an Audit Committee member for the Robben Island Museum. This post reflects her passion for preserving our heritage and ensuring that our national monuments are well-managed for future generations.
